UC California Water Resources Center Issues Call for Research Proposals: Deadline January 15, 2005


The University of California Water Resources Center, a multi-campus research unit of the university, seeks research proposals. The deadline for proposals is January 15, 2005. Funding will begin on July 1, 2005.

The mission of the Center for Water Resources is to stimulate and support water and water-related research both within and among the various academic departments and research organizations of the University. The broad research focus includes the conservation, development, management, distribution, and utilization of water resources with a view to the optimum present and future use.

Research proposals are sought for five general categories:

  • Hydrology, climatology and hydraulics
  • Aquatic ecosystems
  • Water quality
  • Water development and management alternatives
  • Water law, institutions and policy
