BioSTAR Seeks Proposals (First Deadline October 7, 2002)
BioSTAR, the UC Discovery Grant for Biotechnology, supports new industry-university collaborative research within all the University of California campuses and the three UC-managed National Laboratories. The UC Discovery Grant matches industry direct cost contributions to your BioSTAR project's research budget.
BioSTAR and its industry partners funded more than $20 million in collaborative biotechnology research last year. Through this fast-tracked, peer-reviewed process, funds are available within four months of a successful submission.
Since 1996, UC researchers have leveraged funding from 120 different companies in support of high-risk, early stage research.
