The National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) is pleased to announce the release of the FY 2010 Request for Applications (RFA) for the Specialty Crop Research Initiative (SCRI). The SCRI was established to solve critical industry issues through research and extension activities. SCRI will give priority to projects that are multistate, multi-institutional, or trans-disciplinary; and include explicit mechanisms to communicate results to producers and the public.
Deadline: Complete, error- free applications must be received in Grants.gov by close of business on (5 p.m. Eastern Time) on Thursday, January 14, 2010. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered for funding. The agency strongly encourages applicants to submit applications well before the deadline to allow time for correction of technical errors identified by Grants.gov.
Deadline: Letters of Intent to submit an application are due by close of business Wednesday, November 25, 2009. See page 3 of the RFA for more information.
