Funding Opportunities for the Western IPM Center

NRI Issues Call for Proposals for Competitive Grants

The USDA Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES) has issued a call for proposals for the National Research Initiative Competitive Grants Program (NRICGP) for the 2003 fiscal year. Information is available on the NRI grants page.

Deadline dates have changed for submission of NRICGP proposals in several programs. For the Biology and Management of Pests and Beneficial Organisms Section, the deadlines for FY '03 are the following:
Program Title Receive by Deadline
Biology of Plant-Microbe Associations November 1, 2002
Entomology & Nematology November 1, 2002
Biology of Weedy and Invasive Plants December 1, 2002
Biologically Based Pest Management January 15, 2003

Note: Applications must now be RECEIVED by close of business 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered for funding.
