Funding Opportunities for the Western IPM Center

Center for Invasive Plant Management Requests Research Proposals (Deadlines March 7 and March 21, 2003)


The Center for Invasive Plant Management announces the availability of grants for invasive plant management in the Western United States:
  • Cooperative Weed Management Areas
  • Applied Science Case Studies
  • Seed Money for Research into Invasive Plants
  • Fire and Invasive Plants: Information Synthesis and Assessment

Requests for proposals are available on the Web. Deadlines are March 7, 2003 for Weed Management Area Grants and March 21, 2003 for others.

The Center for Invasive Plant Management represents a coalition of agencies, organizations, and individuals interested in managing invasive plants and maintaining healthy ecosystems in western North America. The Center's goals are to enhance land manager and public education, coordinate regional research, facilitate partnerships, increase multidisciplinary communication, and implement practical management programs.
