Subject: Request for Information on Pesticides Applications Remaining in 2003 for Coastal Counites of California, reference Washington Toxics Case
I have queried my database for pesticide use in California for coastal counties north of San Francisco (Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino, Humboldt and Del Norte) for the year 2001.
Three crop/pesticide combinations could be affected by buffer zones if these zones were implemented in the near future.
Pumpkins require applications of chlorothalonil until Halloween.
Radish and Turnip require applications of diazinon through September.
There are no other crops which need sprays of the listed pesticides that would be affected by buffer zones between now and the end of the year.
There were numerous uses of some of the listed materials, especially herbicides, however they come after harvest or are for non-crop situations.
If you would like the Excel files with the details, I will send them to you upon request.
