Cycloate Information for Colorado

RoNeet (cycloate) is not used very much anymore in Colorado due to the fact that incorporation is required and it tends to set the beets back. I does, however, provide some kochia control and since 60% of Colorado's kochia is ALS resistant that can be useful. Most growers would rather use Nortron (ethofumesate) PRE or PPI.

The reason Colorado went for the Dual Magnum (s-metolachlor) spinach 24c label was to help the spinach growers with their pigweed problems that were not being handled by cycloate.

Most Colorado spinach growers have switched from cycloate to Dual Magnum.

The rate in spinach rate is 0.33 - 0.67 pints/A of product or 0.32 -0.64 lb ai/A. The rate in sugar beets is 32 oz/A of product or 1.5 lb ai/A.
