Dear Harold,
This active ingredient has not been used on peas (canning or fresh) in CA for at least the past 3 years. It is not currently registered in the state.

Subject: MCPB on canning peas
Hello all,
I need a quick turnaround on the following question: Is MCPB still used on canning peas and is 0.75 lb/A enough for thistle control? The MCPB RED is out and EPA may call for a confined rotational study if the 1.5 lb/a rate remains on the label. If 0.75 lb/A is enough, they probably will not require the new study. If a new study is required, the registrant may not support he use because of economics.
If some of you could make a couple of phone calls and get back to me this week, I would appreciate it. We do not need a comprehensive survey, just an indication. Sorry for the quick turnaround request.
Harold
